Breeding with NEKTON-Drosophila is simple and does not require cooking. The concentrate is mixed with warm water to create a nutrient-rich media, which provides optimal living conditions for eggs, larvae, and adult flies. Adding a few drops of fruit vinegar can accelerate development, while the paste consistency can be adjusted with water for ideal breeding conditions.

Mix 1 part NEKTON-Drosophila Concentrate with 1.5–2 parts warm water (22–25°C / 71.6–77°F).
Add the prepared media to a sealed, ventilated container.
Place excelsior or coffee filters in the container and seed with flightless flies from an existing culture.
Optional: add a few drops of fruit vinegar to accelerate breeding.
Adjust paste thickness with water as needed; the media will eventually liquefy, providing optimal conditions for larvae.
Store dry and out of sunlight, between 15°C – 25°C (59–77°F)
