Metronidazole 20% Powder is a generic form of Flagyl which helps with the treatment of avian canker (Trichomoniasis) in pigeons, backyard chickens, and cage & aviary birds (finches, parrots, etc). Metronidazole 20% is an antiprotozoal powder formulated for pet birds and is an industry staple when treating mouth and throat canker.

Metronidazole 20% Active Ingredients

20% Metronidazole per 250g

Warning: This product is formulated for pet birds only. Do not use on livestock and other animals whose meat or eggs are intended for human consumption. Please keep away from children and other pets. 

Metronidazole 20% Dosing Instructions

Administer 1 teaspoon (5 grams) per quart of drinking water (32 fl oz) for 5 - 7 consecutive days. Change water daily. A probiotic supplement post-treatment is recommended. Shop probiotics here.

Canker Meds

Long story short I was in need of some canker meds. They were out of the tablets at the time but I managed to get Carlos on the phone and let him know I had a sick bird and needed this stuff asap. Well it arrived next day and I was blessed to not have to pay for overnight shipping. The bird passed shortly before the meds got here. We are prepared now and have cured another bird of canker very quickly with this medication. If you have pigeons and they have canker then you need Metronidazole asap and I would highly encourage you to order from Jedds as they are a great group of staff. Severe canker treatment round 1

Flock had severe case of canker. We have many older birds and they were declining quite rapidly. This was easy to mix and treat em all. They were limited to this mixture as sole water source. Jedds delivered on time... actually placed a second order for add'l antibiotics to quick it from their systems. Parasites are nasty. Thank you Jedd. Chickens are doing well again!
